Christopher Lorton has a Master of Science in Computer Science from Washington University, St. Louis, where he also obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physics. His master’s thesis focused on the parallel computation of neural networks for the recognition of handwritten characters. Christopher’s past work includes machine vision systems, digital media processing, cross-platform managed code runtime development, and the accelerated rendering of graphical user interfaces. Christopher’s current responsibilities include leading the model development team responsible for the IDM agent based disease transmission model and IDM's compartmental model solver and IDM's large data team responsible for providing high resolution weather and demographic data to IDM's disease research teams.
